INSTRUCTIONS FOR NEW CONCEALED FIREARM PERMIT APPLICATION
1. Visit the Wyoming’s Division of Criminal Investigation website to print off the concealed firearm application. The website is:

2. Complete the application, either signing in front of a notary, or bringing it with you to the Sheriff’s Office so we can notarize it when you come in. DO NOT SIGN IT unless you’re in front of a notary. Make four (4) copies of the application.
3. Bring two (2) copies of your proof of firearm proficiency. This can be a DD214, Hunter’s Safety Card, or a firearms class certificate.
4. Bring two (2) photocopies of your Wyoming Driver’s License or Wyoming photo ID.
5. A cashier’s check or money order made payable to DCI for $64.00.
6. Cash or check for $15.00 for the Sheriff’s Office fee. Make checks payable to NCSO.
7. Call the Sheriff’s Office at 307-235-9282 to schedule an appointment to be fingerprinted. We do fingerprints on Tuesdays from 8:20 am to 11:20 am BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Please call to make the fingerprint and application appointment and verify that you have all of the documents you need to finish your application. If you don’t have all of the documentation, it will delay your application and you may have to wait for a different fingerprint appointment.
